Modular belts
We offer modular plastic conveyor belts in the standard materials polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyacetal (POM), which are FDA approved and therefore suitable for use in the food industry.
Modular belts made of polyethylene (PE) can be used from minus 73°C to plus 66°C and are therefore ideal for use in cold environments. Especially where high impact resistance plays an important role, a belt made of this material is the best choice.
Modular belts made of polypropylene (PP) are particularly suitable for temperatures from plus 5°C to plus 100°C. This robust material has a high tensile strength and is the best solution for use in cooking and drying plants in this temperature range. It has a very high chemical resistance to many aggressive media.
Modular belts made of polyacetal (POM) are used in a temperature range from minus 73°C to plus 95°C. This plastic is above all characterised by a very high tensile strength and an abrasion-resistant surface. With their low coefficients of friction, these belts are preferably used in accumulation mode.
Please contact us directly for more information on materials with various additives for special customer applications.
There are solutions with mineral-reinforced material, electrically conductive material, non-stick coatings, special cut resistance or detectable ingredients.
Depending on the application, we recommend belts with smooth or rough surface, friction surface, ribbed belts, open mesh belts, drainage belts with raised ribs, with round, conical surface or perforated belts with a knobbed surface texture.
Accessories
We offer important accessories for smooth processes, such as:
- profiles
- finger transfer plates
- locking clips
- slide bars
- lateral guides for belts
- belt supports
Assembly instructions
Modular belts are generally easy to assemble and maintain, but we recommend that you consider the following recommendations:
Gear wheels are available for 2 types of drive shafts:
For square shafts, make sure that the belts are aligned parallel and evenly and that they are guided correctly. For gears with lateral guides, the middle gear wheel must be fixed. Plastic stop rings (POM) can be supplied, which are attached by means of a tailstock screw.
For round shafts with keyway, make sure that the belts are aligned parallel and evenly and that they are guided correctly. For gears with lateral guides, the middle gear wheel must be fixed. Plastic stop rings (POM) can be supplied, which are attached by means of a tailstock screw.
If possible, fit the drive wheel between the upper run guides.
Ensure the correct number of drive wheels and guides.
Clean the gears regularly and avoid increasing contamination to prevent damage, excessive wear and tear or failure.
